Well, spring got dragged in finally. I mean I'm fairly used to snow in March and April, but yay, finally it's sunshine and cherry blossoms.
Not about to turn into a Japanese and bring out a blanket and drink tea and watch the cherry blossoms fall, but hey, cherry blossoms have a really nice smell. Also, they are pretty much the heralds of spring.
I've moved my herb garden and all my other plants from the windowsill to the balcony railing, so they get more sun. It's getting more and more crowded. I mean most of the balcony is covered in greens. Sadly, the thyme died, but that was my mom who killed it, so... Gonna have to buy another one, and soon. Two of my small lavender plants also bit the dust, but that was the cold winter that did them in, most probably, as each had a partner in the same box that survived. And there was lots of space, so... so I shall plant new lavender.
All my chrysanthemums seem to have survived, although I'll have to nip the old blossoms and the dried out pieces. It'll take me some serious shokoban to move the stuff out of the way so I'd be able to sweep the multitude of fallen petals off the balcony. Yay, go me.
My tulips have somehow, secretly multiplied. I've bought 2 bulbs a few years ago, and now there are so many leaves... Not that I mind. Purple-black tulips are always pretty, especially mine. ^^ I just dunno how they did it, the little sneaks.
So far, my herb survivors: tarragon, lavender(s, especially the huge potted ones), curry, hypericum (NOT kidding), the peppermint... Sadly, the thyme died, and so did the sage last autumn. So I'll have to replace them.
Luckily, all three of my mini roses survived. I hope they'll stay up and about this year too.
And come to think of it, it's nearly time for adding some fertilizer to the soil. And since I had my dad buy me a huge sackful of it (yup, cow dung, if you were wondering), I shall put it to good use.
Oh and by the way, ever since the sun came up and I'm not sitting in a cold, dank wintry world... I can't stop grinning. I think I'm too many parts plant. A carnivorous one at that. Heheh.
So... That's about it.
