I had another end of the world dream. Again. I have them fairly often. I mean this year (make it nearly 3 months) it's already a two digit number, the amount of apocalyptic dreams I had so far. Dunno how many tho.
Anyway, since I have a slight fever, it had been ice age dreams. Both times. I was woken up, tried to clear my airways for an hour and went back to sleep after the first one.
So... the first one prolly had lots of symbols. I can't be hedgehogged to find out.
Me and my childhood friend went to a small, rural little village to spend a summer in a little house (not on the prairie, but close), and we had the owner's son with us... so we were three. Incidentally, the owner's son was my old classmate from highschool... who was also my crush. (Yup, that same old ugly guy. Yikes, I seriously dunno what I liked in him.)
Anyway, my friend ditched us, because she just wanted to get away fr4om her folks and wanted to spend time with her boyfriend. Actually... nothing symbolic in that one, she really needs some time off... her folks are... weird, and if I say it, they are very weird.
Anyway, I was left alone with my old classmate, and he was trying to make a chair. I remember he put it together from old chair pieces, each one from a different chair, the last, surviving part and so on. So he spent a great amount of time trying to get the paint and lacquer off.
I spent some time talking to our neighbour, who handed me a little child's toy (a toy from a kinder egg) saying soon, I will need to use it.
Also, we took a tour one evening, actually, it was midsummer evening, because there was a fair hosted in the lake. Well, actually on. It was shallow enough that it only reached up to our knees, and there was a maze. And I had a venetian mask on, and my friend remarked that it's nice that I finally have my old mask back on.
Anyway, we got out of the lake and back from the fair, when news reached us on the radio that there is something coming, and that everybody needs to evacuate and get back home (obviously, it was a tourist resort kind of rural town). But my folks on the phone told me not to, because it is already snowing heavily over there. So I stayed. Me and the guy were the only ones staying, and I offered to go and raid the shops for food and some new paint forhis chair that he was just about to complete.
When we were just outside of the house, snow began to fall.
The second dream was much shorter. It was like the first one, but the friend was different and so was the place.
I was overseas. My friend was out shopping, this one too with her bf. They were trying to find water ski supplies. I just washed my hair and I was worried that my hair dye would taint the white towel, and true, it did. It had big black splatters and splotches on it. So I chucked it into the washing machine.
Then, I was in trying on a bikini of all things and tying my see-through shawl with the Buddhist mantras around me. (Lucky me, in my dream I knew where it went to.) I even knew how to read them, but when I sat down to read it, the radio announced that an ice age was coming and that everybody should stay calm. (That's usually when panic breaks out.)
So I logged on to the net to talk with a friend and called my folks. My friend was suddenly cut off, and my folks told me that there was a power outage over there in the whole country and snow is already falling and I should take care of myself and be careful and dress warm and stack up food, yadda yadda... and then the phone went dead too.
So I went to turn on the TV, and they showed snow on every channel, and I was wondering why it was still so sunny and warm over here. And then suddenly the power went out. I walked out into the main room, and I saw him sleeping on the couch, the air blowing through the high windows, blowing in the curtains, and as sunlight flickered as the curtain danced in the strong wind, snow blew in through the window.
I wonder if I should worry that the Matrix is malfunctioning, since I haven't seen Agent Elrond around... There goes my déja vu.
