I had another end of the world dream. Again. I have them fairly often. I mean this year (make it nearly 3 months) it's already a two digit number, the amount of apocalyptic dreams I had so far. Dunno how many tho.
Anyway, since I have a slight fever, it had been ice age dreams. Both times. I was woken up, tried to clear my airways for an hour and went back to sleep after the first one.
So... the first one prolly had lots of symbols. I can't be hedgehogged to find out.
Me and my childhood friend went to a small, rural little village to spend a summer in a little house (not on the prairie, but close), and we had the owner's son with us... so we were three. Incidentally, the owner's son was my old classmate from highschool... who was also my crush. (Yup, that same old ugly guy. Yikes, I seriously dunno what I liked in him.)
Anyway, my friend ditched us, because she just wanted to get away fr4om her folks and wanted to spend time with her boyfriend. Actually... nothing symbolic in that one, she really needs some time off... her folks are... weird, and if I say it, they are very weird.
Anyway, I was left alone with my old classmate, and he was trying to make a chair. I remember he put it together from old chair pieces, each one from a different chair, the last, surviving part and so on. So he spent a great amount of time trying to get the paint and lacquer off.
I spent some time talking to our neighbour, who handed me a little child's toy (a toy from a kinder egg) saying soon, I will need to use it.
Also, we took a tour one evening, actually, it was midsummer evening, because there was a fair hosted in the lake. Well, actually on. It was shallow enough that it only reached up to our knees, and there was a maze. And I had a venetian mask on, and my friend remarked that it's nice that I finally have my old mask back on.
Anyway, we got out of the lake and back from the fair, when news reached us on the radio that there is something coming, and that everybody needs to evacuate and get back home (obviously, it was a tourist resort kind of rural town). But my folks on the phone told me not to, because it is already snowing heavily over there. So I stayed. Me and the guy were the only ones staying, and I offered to go and raid the shops for food and some new paint forhis chair that he was just about to complete.
When we were just outside of the house, snow began to fall.
The second dream was much shorter. It was like the first one, but the friend was different and so was the place.
I was overseas. My friend was out shopping, this one too with her bf. They were trying to find water ski supplies. I just washed my hair and I was worried that my hair dye would taint the white towel, and true, it did. It had big black splatters and splotches on it. So I chucked it into the washing machine.
Then, I was in trying on a bikini of all things and tying my see-through shawl with the Buddhist mantras around me. (Lucky me, in my dream I knew where it went to.) I even knew how to read them, but when I sat down to read it, the radio announced that an ice age was coming and that everybody should stay calm. (That's usually when panic breaks out.)
So I logged on to the net to talk with a friend and called my folks. My friend was suddenly cut off, and my folks told me that there was a power outage over there in the whole country and snow is already falling and I should take care of myself and be careful and dress warm and stack up food, yadda yadda... and then the phone went dead too.
So I went to turn on the TV, and they showed snow on every channel, and I was wondering why it was still so sunny and warm over here. And then suddenly the power went out. I walked out into the main room, and I saw him sleeping on the couch, the air blowing through the high windows, blowing in the curtains, and as sunlight flickered as the curtain danced in the strong wind, snow blew in through the window.
I wonder if I should worry that the Matrix is malfunctioning, since I haven't seen Agent Elrond around... There goes my déja vu.

Quote day, again
"Lost in a dream...
Drowning in the eyes
Of a statue who dreamt a little dream of me...
Here begin the second lectures of darkness,
As Lucifer becomes the chalice of the night.
He drowns in the sea of his dreams...
... Him, whom the statue beholds.
But here there is no light."

Lényeg a lényeg, saját kreálmány. Nekem tetszik, és én csináltam. ^^

*sigh*
Well, Obama just made our worries multiply. Thanks to him mentioning, actually likening our country to Ukraine, now our money is worth even less than it was yesterday. I don't know why he is singling us out, I mean why us? There are several countries in this region, why pick on us? Why further the ruin of our economy with announcing we are doing as badly as Ukraine?
Well, we don't. But now, thanks to this untrue, negative advertisement, we might. Soon. Thanks a bunch.
Yes, he probably meant well. Yes, he probably tried to help. But he mentioned Hungary next to Ukraine and not another country's name, and now it's our money that's losing its worth thanks to all the stupid, panicky people. So even if he meant well and wanted to help, he just fucked us over.
So... ouch. Next time, I wish he would try to think about dumb people misunderstanding things and try not saying anything negative about my country - pretty please. We are in deep enough shit without further outside influence, thanks.

Saving Luna
If you like animals, if you like documentaries and if you don't mind killer whales, you should watch Saving Luna.
It's not out in the movies yet. The creators are trying to get more channels to play it on TV, and Suzanne has been flying around the globe, promoting the movies that had already won many awards. 19 so far, I think. And going.
I had written a thesis about it for university while he was still alive, and I'm a bit sad I couldn't write about him for my final thesis. It would have been absolutely worth it. But then again, native American (Canadian) religion and spirituality sadly wasn't my major.
Anyway, here's the movie trailer, and you can go to Saving Luna's homepage and read about the little killer whale.
Oh and whoever killed him should be dealt by law. (Or shot in the head, whichever, I'm not picky, but would prefer the second option.) I mean a woman who touched Luna (everybody did btw) had been fined for 100 dollars, but the man who killed Luna got to walk away, no questions asked? Yep, that's bureaucracy for you.
Oh and yeah, I've watched the movie. Suzanne lent it to me. ^^ So I can say it's very nice.
Also, the shots of Nootka Sound (Vancouver Island) are just simply amazing. My personal favorites are the ones with the fog rolling over the hills and the water.
Here, some pictures taken from the Saving Lune homepage. (Although, sadly not with fog.)

Oh and by the way... yay, post no. 300!

Not again
Why do men (ok, some men) pull this disappearing act of theirs?
I'm talking about when they just disappear altogether, without a note saying "I don't feel like anything so I'll be off the radar until I change my mind, have fun".
This drives me crazy every time. I hate it when people disappear without telling me the reason, and me being me usually means I worry too much about them and always suspect the worst.
And him driving a bike and all makes it more plausible. I mean what if now it's not just a broken arm? But then again I'm too meek to text message people until they've been gone for ages, mostly because I don't want to be called a worrier or a stalker, so...
So.
Floss, drop me a line if you read this, will you?

Ergo Proxy
Meh.
Seriously.
It's very beautiful. The artwork is pretty, really pretty.
The story is... sort of interesting, once all the bits reassert themselves in your head, but... you'll have to watch it a few times to get all of the bits.
Thing is, it's deep. Ok, the story is original for the usual anime, but I'm not sure I prefer it quite this deep. I don't like to go "HUH?!" at the end of an anime. I like a bit of mystery and suspense, but complete bafflement? No.
Also, the story was told in a haphazard way, dotted with filler-like episodes that made sense only after you've watched the anime till the end. There were dream sequences that lasted for a full episode each, and time loss, lots of time loss. Sometimes you were dropped into a situation in medias res, and were left with no ending or follow-up when the episode ended and the next one was already happening somewhere else, much, much later. *sigh*
There were some big words. French, mostly. Boring speeches, although those probably because you've got to have boring, long-winded speeches in anime, that are completely unrealistic. I got used to it. At least I had time to drink some tea and offer food for Manó. He likes dried fruit btw.
Over all, it was nice. The plot, when you finally piece it together and understand it (after a few watchings and talking it over with others), is pretty neat. Finally not the "bad guy comes and destroys all just because he had a sad past" or "vague / not so vague, but totally out of character entity gets revenge / gets reborn / wreaks havoc / saves his old gf / kills his best friend / etc" or even the usual "boy gets girl or vice versa" plot.
But I feel that over all it would have been more enjoyable if they didn't go to great lengths to bewilder the watchers with riddles, throw us off-kilter with filler-like riddles and annoy us with that "Q Q Q" guy. Man, my finger twitched on the fast forward button like hell when I watched that episode.
So... great anime it would be, were it not overly complicated to give it a more artistic feel. Simple doesn't always mean bad, you know. And this... even if made a bit simpler... it wouldn't be simple at all.
Seriously.
